Remember that at the core of every wish is the desire to be happy or at peace. So, how about doing your New Year’s resolution from the inside out? Try feeling good or calm first. If this seems too difficult, use your imagination. Imagine how you would feel if you have just achieved one of the goals on your list. Keep connecting with the feelings that you want to experience. Those feelings are most likely why you wanted that goal in the first place.

By allowing yourself to feel good first, your goals will be reached more easily and effortlessly. And at the very least, you will have a lot more fun doing it this way.

Essentially, be what it is that you want to feel. As the Zen saying goes, “There is no path to Happiness. Happiness is the path.”
